Thanks for the suggestion, if anyone wants to talk about uDig I am in 
town for two more weeks :-)

There was recently a cross tool training course put together for QGis 
and uDig, I hope the results will
be available on the osgeo.org website eventually. You will also fund the 
jump and gvSig projects available
for basic viewing needs (they are competition of course but I respect them).

I am sorry facilities for a training course did not come together while 
I was here, ended up running
the course for a few people that will directly be taking part in 
development over the next couple of
months.
