and held a workshop. See the archive for news of that. A few weeks ago it was
GIS week. Did any of you participate with an Open Source GIS emphasis? On that
note are any of you involved with or aware of any GIS education activities
using open source GIS? GIS is in the high school syllabus from this year in <st1:country-region
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">South Africa</st1:place></st1:country-region>
and we need OS GIS resources that can ‘compete’ with the
proprietary offerings, particularly for disadvantaged schools and communities. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
