Jeff McKenna invited me to the OSGeo team on Slack and I’ve joined. From their experience, it looks like Tim is right, Slack is expensive and not actually up to the ethical and practical standard for a large OS chat group.<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I’m new to Slack and I know some good people who love it but I should have looked about for alternatives like Gitter (obvious, reallly!), which looks like a great option.
