Sorry Dave - I missed acknowledging you on my previous response.<br>
Yes,... I had forgotten about the Goldfields one (having worked with
it in the eighties!) - but I'm not going to toss that one into the
pile.<br>
<br>
I'm aiming at producing a guideline for recognising common RSA CRSes
by the numeric values of the coords, and if necessary (like the
2-Deg Lo bands) some knowledge of the approx location of the AOI.<br>

of the mines still use the various Goldfields systems but
few and far between, maybe more important to go from a local
coordinate system(sides and angles) to a commonly used
coordinate system such as the LO system as many of the
properties in SA were surveyed on a local system with no
