        There are some data relating to specific mines in the Mine Water
        Atlas [1] published by the Water Research Commission (WRC) The
        data are from 2015, I think. <br>
        <br>
        The Mine Water Atlas data are (or were) freely available from
        the WRC in Pretoria on a rather fancy USB card. The vector data
        are all stored in an ESRI GDB file, which is just under a GB in
        size. I extracted the point data relating to mines and saved it
        as a geopackage file (see attached). In the attribute table
        there is info about each mine (name, primary mineral being
        targeted, status, etc).<br>
