I'm a fairly frequent OSM trace contributor in New Brunswick. We've
also added OSM support in the CARIS Spatial Fusion Viewer (courtesy of
OpenLayers) and it is amazing.<br>
<br>
On a side note, it would be interesting to consider holding a
Mapathon. I've read where this was done in other cities and it really
fostered a feeling of involvement in the community.

There is now a growing group on the #osm-ca IRC chat.(on irc.oftc.net)
The main point of contact to reach the community is on the

There hasn't been that many mapping parties lately, as there has been
alot of focus on the Canada Import.
I'm only able to attend if the mapping party is on a monday / tuesday
or a wednesday.

Here's a thought: how about, in the next 2 years, we hold a joint event
here in Canada, organized by OSM Canada and the Canada chapter of OSGeo
(<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Canada">http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Canada</a>)? It would be a SoTM and FOSS4G
co-event (both events would keep their name, but would be at the same venue)
How's that for food for thought??!!!??!!!
