Hi

I heard Simon O'keefe was talking about "UK Heritage" website  that
you can download data in various format e.g. shapefiles, KML,
etc.during the last OSGeo Melbourne User Group meeting. According to
him, the site would not even ask you, how are you going to use the
data. He did not mentioned how easy to use and download which I guess
the probably main feature of the site.

Is the website that are you talking,

It seems that it is only viewing data, if I am mistaken. How could we
download data from the site?

I like to see the site soon and how easy for us to get / download
data, not just viewing data.

I totally agree with you on this. I am hoping that the thing that you
are building would be useful and easy to use. We l- Geo Spatial folks
have already difficulties using the existing sites. Most of the sites
are really good in hiding useful information. It seems that you have
dig thru layers of pagings, links, menus to get the information that
you need, then you can really get it. You refine the search and if you
are lucky, you can copy and paste the text, no download option.
