Thanks Frank, ah yes, I remember discussing it but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing the correct "number of years" item.  I guess we should overhaul our bylaws at some point to reflect this - or perhaps have a place where this is linked from so people can clearly understand/find info.

By the way, based on my work so far my *guess* is that we might possibly have up to 5 automatic retirements but I can't see having much more.  We have really active members!  

Some scenarios to consider:  what happens when someone fails to vote on a charter election, but votes on a board election (or vice-versa)?  I'd say that's active for that year.  If that's the case I'd bet we won't have almost any retirements.
