Michael P. Gerlek,<BR><BR>I have heard form Venka about possible
support<BR>for OSGeo promotion at GIS-IDEAS 2006. The <BR>promotions will be
partly supported by JVGC,<BR>VAST (and if possible by OSGeo too).<BR><BR>We
have negotiated with the Local Organizers<BR>to provide a 6x4m space for OSGeo
at the<BR>Conference Exhibition hall where our <BR>volunteers will help to
show demo's,<BR>distribute brochures, and provide info about<BR>OSGeo to the
conference participants on all<BR>three days of the conference.<BR><BR>Also we
are organizing a pre-conference workshop <BR>on OSGeo software and have
received overwhelming<BR>response and we expect more that 30
participants<BR>to participate.<BR><BR>I give below the break up describing
the purpose<BR>for which the the funds provided by OSGeo will be
<BR>used.<BR><BR>1) OSGeo Exhibition space US$600 (US$600 will
be<BR> paid for JVGC and VAST)<BR>2) Partial support
for Printing of brochures, posters for
distribution<BR> (one page OSGeo brochure will also be
included <BR> in the conference kit) US$300<BR>3)
Partial support of Cost of Burning CD for Workshop
particpants<BR> US$100<BR><BR>GIS-IDEAS 2006 will have
about 200 participants and is<BR>one of the important geoinformatics
conferences in <BR>Vietnam. Details about the conference are available<BR>at
