<div>It's still up to everyone to not ask for refund of travel and other costs. The amount may also vary from country to country. Jeff didn't mean that OSGeo should refund the costs, but I think that became already clear.</div>

I'm not sure every FOSS4G conferences would be able to cover all that, that's why i was telling about the Foundation money. <br>I'm sorry if i was wrong on this.<br><br>I'm looking forward such guidelines, for every OSGeo related event, all over the globe.<br>

Just to clarify, here is an example situation:<br>

- an event's organizing committee contacts an OSGeo representative to<br>
speak and attend their event on behalf of OSGeo<br>
- that representative can then respond by saying "yes, great, and please<br>
find the guidelines to using an OSGeo Ambassador at: [wiki page of<br>
guidelines]<br>
- that wiki page would list requirements for the event organizers,<br>
including, as Cameron stated, "expect to cover travel, accommodation and<br>
a daily rate of XXX" for the ambassador<br>
<br>
So, I am in fact not proposing to use any OSGeo funds.<br>
