Hi Tim,

(Sent back to board list)

Getting the money to you should not be a problem once you have your PSC vote, mostly a matter of mailing a check which may take a few days to get to you (or if the money should be wired to Europe then it costs us 30$ from the local bank plus a 10$ is taken along the way by the intermediate banks before it gets to destination).

I also need to review the spreadsheet, it would be great to sort out those accounting differences once and for all.
Hey Daniel and Jeff (sent the same to the board list but it bounced),

We're going to be hosting an OpenLayers 3 sprint in Nottingham on Sept
18 (announcement coming out in the next week). This will be open to
all, and will include an overview to developing with the new library.

Bart has located a venue for the day that will cost ~ $375. We are
going to be printing a limited number of t-shirts and anticipate some
other costs for the day. I'd like to request a withdrawal of $1000 from
our project sponsorship funds.

By my accounting [1], OpenLayers project sponsorship funds total $8784.
Minus OSGeo's 25% this would leave us $6588. I know that over the
years, a number of the Packt Publishing contributions have been hard to
track as specific to OpenLayers (or hard to find at all), so I
understand if this differs from your accounting.

The PSC and active OpenLayers 3 developers have informally approved
this. I'm getting a formal vote from the PSC now, but wanted to get the
ball rolling here as well as we will need funds to secure the sprint
venue and put in the t-shirt order (likely in the next week).

Let me know if there is any other detail I can provide.
Thanks,
Tim

[1] Here's the spreadsheet of OpenLayers sponsorship that I have tracked
since 2010. Daniel has already seen this and has access. I can share
with others if others want to see it:
