Following up on this for closure. Mark Lucas has stepped forward
offering to be OSGeo's representative for the FOSS4G NA governance
process. This is excellent news given Mark's experience,
contributions, and years spent on OSGeo's board.

I trust there are no concerns with Mark's appointment, but just in
case, please let me know on or off list by end of day May 18th.

Kind regards,
A quick updated on this, approval so far has been unanimous.
Cameron provided positive feedback but abstained citing he was
outside North America. Everyone else voted to support the
process. The deadline to vote is tomorrow.

Would you like to name someone to represent OSGeo in the
process? If not, please let me know and I'll issue a call on the
discuss list to find someone appropriate. Once there's a
representative for OSGeo, the core committee is complete and we
can get rolling on NA 2016.

Thanks again,
As part of bootstrapping the process for 2016, OSGeo can name
one person to be its representative. Please consider this email
a formal call for participation. We're looking for 1 person to
represent OSGeo for roughly a year as part of the process for
FOSS4G NA 2016. We'll leave it to you to decide if you'd like to
simply appoint someone, or something more complicated.
Thank you!
