I tried sending this to the board list, but I guess only board members<br>
are subscribed to that list or maybe I have to sub to the list if it is<br>

I already looked that the candidates and voted so maybe it is not that<br>
big of a deal, but I think it would make sense to to consider these<br>
ideas for the future to improve our overall voting process. I think this<br>
year went pretty smoothly overall, so excellent job on your part.<br>

I'm sure you have already considered this but I think it might be a good<br>
idea to consider extending the deadline for board voting because a lot<br>
of the candidates have been at FOSSG and/or other conferences and I<br>
think it would be good to get the candidates to respond to these<br>
questions. Vasile already mention that about 1/2 the members have<br>
already voted, so maybe it is moot at this point.<br>
<br>
Regardless of whether this does or does not happen this year, I think<br>
that it would be a good idea to make it part of the planning from future<br>
elections. You might have a schedule like:<br>
<br>
* cut-off date for nominations<br>
* 1 week for candidates to answers a fix set of questions<br>
* then the elections<br>
<br>
You might even consider putting in place something where any candidate<br>
that does not answer the questionnaire would get dropped from the voting<br>
because if they can not make time to post answers, then you might want<br>
to consider that they also might not have time for spending on board<br>
related activities. While I understand that schedule conflicts for that<br>
week might occur having a schedule and know the plan should allow them<br>
to work around that. And maybe they would have more time in a future<br>
election.<br>
