Would you be interested in keeping an android phone in your other pocket and
collecting high-revisit acceleration and orientation
information? That might help do a better estimate of slopes. I won't join
you there, but will be happy to help with analysis of the
collected data.

Lars and I are hitting the slopes of Mt. Wachusett this Saturday, mission
Slope Mapping for OpenStreetMap or OpenPisteMap.

I tried mapping slopes with a GPS in my pocket last week and it worked
surprisingly well (http://goo.gl/uV6tr - still need to tag the traces for
OSM though).

Anybody else would like to join us?
