Alex,

I think your abstract sounds great, and see no reason to modify it.

Anyone want to take a stab at an abstract? We should try to get it done
this week.

Community members will demonstrate the production of maps using free
software available via the Open Source Geospatial foundation. Including
but not limited to desktop GIS, spatial databases, web service
providers, and web programming interfaces to make both print and digital
maps both static and interactive.

Just a rough idea, I want to try not to pin us to specific software if
we have to adjust based on people's availability.

Thanks,
Alex
