    Hi California OSGeo people!<br>
    It was good to see so many of you in Burlingame!  I met Eric (see
    below) at the OSGeo booth at the conference.  He wants OSGeo to have
    a presence at the Nevada Geographical Society conference.  I'm not
    sure if this is something we should handle as (possibly) the nearest
    chapter, or if we should let the bigger org know.  Thoughts,
    comments, ideas?<br>

                                I am one of the board members of the
                                Nevada Geographic Information Society (<a
                                  moz-do-not-send="true"
                                  href="http://www.ngis.org">www.ngis.org</a>).
                                Our 2015 meeting, at Lake Tahoe the week
                                of October 12, 2015 will be our
                                TWENTY-FIFTH annual meeting.<br>
                                <br>
                              </div>
                              So, we've been at this a while. Our
                              members have seen the world of GIS go from
                              an obscure priesthood to a mainstream part
                              of the modern world; from worrying about
                              actual clouds on our 6250bpi streaming
                              tape reels of LANDSAT data to spatial data
                              in virtual clouds.<br>
                              <br>
                            </div>
                            Of course, we would like the 25th meeting to
                            be something special (aside from being at
                            Lake Tahoe, of course). Open source and the
                            support network around it are (to my mind)
                            one of the biggest and best new things in
                            the geospatial work environment in decades.<br>
                            <br>
                          </div>
                          We (the NGIS Board) would very much welcome
                          your organization's presence at our annual
