<p class="MsoNormal">I don’t know how to start this email… hope you’re well… things are weird right now… it’s sad that FOSS4G is cancelled this year… ? Sigh.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I’ll just jump in. Here’s what I’m thinking: no one can get together in the same physical space right now, but maybe we can use that to our advantage as a group that is so geographically spread out that we never really see each other anyway.
Maybe now’s a good time to plan a virtual event for our chapter. This could be a good way to expand our membership and do some good in the world at the same time. We wouldn’t have to do it ourselves. I think there’s potential to pull in other California-based
organizations and companies - #maptimeDavis, #maptimeSF, Guerilla Mapping, Planet, Stamen, and Mapbox come to mind from up here in Nor Cal. I’m thinking we’d plan for August or September.<o:p></o:p></p>
