Hi all

By now all lab and workshop presenters should be on this list. Graeme,
Burnie, Jeff et al. will be working with you all closely over the next
two months to ensure your labs and workshops and the logistics,
computers etc. are all 'perfect' in time for the conference. We are
going to announce to all registrants tomorrow (Tues 22nd) that they can
choose their workshops - via the wiki, then in a week's time we will
broadcast the announcement publicly.

So, by tomorrow, your WORKSHOPS will be scheduled and listed showing
seats available.

LABS will be worked into a first draft of the conference schedule by
Friday 25th.

All workshop and lab related wiki pages are here:
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Category:FOSS4G_Workshops. Some require
'lots' of updating, but they will be our main organising point, so
please get familiar with them and help edit them if you feel so
inclined. This page in particular will be ready to 'put on offer' by
tomorrow: http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/FOSS4G2008_Workshops_and_Labs.

Graeme will also be 'publishing' your abstracts on the main conference
site so they can be viewed and browsed along with all the other
abstracts, clearly identified as belonging to 'lab' or 'workshop'
tracks.

Outreach volunteers needed: We are planning free lectures / demos /
talks / workshops for teachers / govt officials / public / other 'needy'
audiences that are free to attend and run by volunteers from FOSS4G. So
if you would like to repeat your workshop or lab or do something
different, and help organise it, please let me know.
