[Workshops] Re: [Foss4g2009] Confused about workshop registrationfee

Hi all

in 2008, we did not particularly cater for this scenario. Workshop
presenters got free conference registration (up to 2 presenters, if I
recall). Obviously this will not be possible for workshop volunteers, as
it will hurt the budget, but I suspect that it may be okay to have a
limited number of volunteers joining the workshop for no cost. As I
understand it, the workshops are pre-conference, which obviates the need
for the volunteers to be registered for the conference itself.

Graeme

How were people handled in previous years? I assume lists of names
were
supplied in advance; were volunteers required to be conference
delegates? What kind of numbers were there? Who turned this into a
top-posting thread?

I'm going to prod Tour Hosts a bit off the public channel to see about

costs of bodies and any administrative fun that I haven't thought of.
I
agree that we need this.
