Hi Oscar,
thanks for your work: the organization and the location was perfect (and
lunch very nice). And thanks to the "red shirt" volunteers.

Sorry about that.

I have presented workshop both in the same venue of the conference
(Sydney, Cape Town, Victoria, Lausanne) and in a separate venue.
My opinion is that it does not make much difference for the presenters
and the attendees as long there is an easy way to reach the venue (as it
was this year with the metro).
For the organizers, I guess using an existing computer lab makes things
easier and cheaper.

Room capacity was ok, we have been somehow flooded by attendees due to
the "QGIS incident". We were not using the Internet connection, so I
cannot comment on that.

Probably having all the workshop on the same day would have made the
organization easier, but then again, we should have been there a day in
advance to check the configuration.

excellent

It would have been nice for the presenters to have the possibility to
register before the workshops: having the badge with the name would have
probably helped during the workshop.

The funny (not really) thing is that the very same situation happened
for the QGIS workshop at the last Italian FOSS4G/GRASS conference in
Lugano in February: it was canceled a few minutes before the scheduled time.

Cheers, Paolo
