Hello everyone,

As everyone I am sure noticed, the OSGeo Conference Committee did not
receive any letters of intent to host the 2012 event, by yesterday's
deadline. We will now of course extend the deadline, and encourage
bidding from all regions of the globe (before the initial deadline, we
were hoping for bids from places other than North America or
Europe...however now we will open the bidding up to those areas as
well). I hope this extension will let those potential teams that were
already considering, to offer their interest in hosting this wonderful
event in their location.

Updated important dates:

* Letters of Intent (Stage 1) due:	2011-07-08 (23:00 UTC)
* Stage 1 question period:		2011-07-08 to 2011-07-15
