sorry for writing to you in German. I thought you would still be fluent in
German and would welcome the possibility to practice ;-)

Thanks a lot for the detailed comments, they are most welcome.

Whether workshops should be before the main conference or are allowed to be
parallel to the talks is not an easy decision. The German FOSSGIS
Conference
usually had a mix of both.

I like the idea of tutorials. This could be interesting for people, who
want
to present their project in more detail, but don't have the time to
prepare a
workshop. Whether this is an option for the FOSSGIS conference will have
to be
decided by the program committee
