Bo,

I understand the "not experienced in organizing such an event" part, but
would you please explain "short on members who could reach out to the
international communities" ? What's the problem they are facing ?

I know that actually doing the organizing work may be much more
time-consuming than some one outside the LOC can imagine, and they are a
small team, so all the members can be really busy right now. However, most
people here are scared by the lack of activity on the surface (website or
mailing list), which is a problem that can be solved by a little
communication. Are they really so busy that no one can keep an eye on this
list and post/update ?

Jo Cook mentioned "they need to translate [the e-mail]". If she is right,
it's only a language barrier which can be lifted easily with some help from
a translator. Is that really the case ?
