<p>Well, the 2nd through last questions all relate to the
locale/venue, and there's nothing much that the LOCs can do about
those things, but they seem like they should be important things
for the committee to know about, hence asking. As a "suggestion"
to the LOC, it's not as if they can improve the city's public
transport for instance.</p>
<p>That just leaves the general "have you given any thought to"
question; given there has already been a question asked and
answered about diversity, this question seems entirely in line
with that.</p>
<p>As you suggest, it is likely I'll offer further thoughts later in
the process.</p>
<p> I merely thought some questions at this stage about
sustainability would keep the matter on everyone's radar given the
IPCC has just said "<i>everyone</i> needs to change stuff <i>immediately</i>
or it's all going to get bad" -

<p>* Have you given any though to ensuring your conference is
sustainable\green\environmentally friendly?</p>
<p>* Does your venue have any sustainability
initiatives\credentials etc?<br>

<p>* Does your host city have good public transport, including
between the venue/events/likely-accommodation/airport? (note:
taxi's are not public transport ;-) )<br>
</p>
<p>* Is the host city reasonably reachable by something other
than flying?<br>
</p>
