<div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr"><div><div>Dear all,</div><div><br></div><div>Thank you so much for your warm and thoughtful proposal.</div><div>We are truly honored to have the opportunity to host FOSS4G 2026 in Hiroshima, especially as we celebrate both the 20th anniversary of the OSGeo Foundation and the OSGeo-organized FOSS4G conference. It would be our great pleasure to welcome everyone to Hiroshima.</div><div><br></div><div>Regarding updates to our 2025 proposal, the schedule for FOSS4G 2026 is planned as follows: </div><div> • August 30-31: Hands-on Workshops</div><div> • September 1-3: Main Conference</div><div> • September 4-5: Code Sprint</div><div><br></div><div>As for the venues, the Main Conference (September 1 to 3) will be held at the same venue as originally proposed. This venue has already been reserved to include the preparation and clean-up periods. However, for the Hands-on Workshops and the Code Sprint, we are considering alternative locations, such as local universities in the city. This change is being made to address the logistical issues associated with holding these events at the main venue.</div><div><br></div><div>We are committed to making FOSS4G 2026 a memorable and impactful event for the OSGeo and FOSS4G community.
