Call for Papers - 6th International Symposium on LBS & TeleCartography

2nd-4th Sep 2009

The Centre for Geospatial Science, University of Nottingham is pleased
to present the 6th International Symposium on LBS & TeleCartography in
cooperation with the ICA Commissions on Maps and the Internet &
Ubiquitous Mapping, the IAG WG 4.1.2 on Indoor Navigation Systems, the
International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing WG II/5 on
Communication and Visualization of Spatial Data and the ICA Working
Group on Open Source Geospatial Technologies.

Contributions from the fields of Cartography, Geoinformation, Computer
Science, Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing, Telecommunication, Geodesy,
Geomedia Techniques, etc. should address, but are not limited to current
topics of:

# Location Based Services
# Wayfinding and Navigation
# Smart Environments and Active Landmarks
# Pervasive Technologies for LBS 
# Cartographic Theories and Techniques 
# TeleCartography (Map based LBS) 
# Mobile and Ubiquitous Mapping 
# 3D-Mapping, Virtual and Augmented Reality 
# Location Based Media Technologies 
# Personalization & Adaptive Methods 
# Positioning Methods 
# Modelling of Spatial Environments for LBS 
# Location Based Sensor Networks 
# Location Based Collaboration

Extended Abstracts (max 1500 words) can be submitted to present
visionary ideas, work in progress and preliminary research results,
whereas Full papers (max 6000 words) should present substantial results.
Full papers will be reviewed by the members of the scientific committee
and published in an upcoming book on Locations Based Services &
TeleCartography and/or in a special edition of the Journal on LBS.
Please submit papers to Suchith.Anand at nottingham.ac.uk  with subject
title LBS 2009 according to the given deadlines.

LBS 2009 Doctoral Student Colloquium

The LBS 2009 committee is pleased to announce a Doctoral Student
Colloquium for this year's LBS conference. The Colloquium will provide
doctoral students with the opportunity to present their work in a
setting that is relatively informal but that allows for maximum
intellectual exchange. Students will receive feedback on their
presentation and current research from participating faculty and from
peers. To participate in the LBS 2009 Doctoral Student Colloquium please
send the abstracts (max 1500 words) to Suchith.Anand at nottingham.ac.uk
with subject title LBS Doctoral Colloquium 2009 according to the given
deadlines.
