you can always publish with  lulu.com (I bought the MapWindows  
hardcopy book there)
and you preserve your copyright and set your price and people can get  
your book as e-book and hardcopy.
You just need to do your own marketing. Thousands of books have been  
published
through them - lot of textbooks,
