I've been dinking around with OpenLayers, so I could do a very basic
OpenLayers webinar. I could also do something on the GPX module I
added to GeoTools.

Is the idea for a live webinar, or for a video produced ahead of time?

These introductory webinars will be an excellent way to get more people (especially in education) to start learning about the various software and also promoting OSGeo.
