Hi Franz-Josef,

Thanks for the info. As you are organising AGSE2012 http://applied-geoinformatics.org/  in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, it is good opportunity to start building plans for establishing OSGeo Malaysia chapter. That will help build activities in Malaysia to the next level. Please also contact Dr Tuong Thuy Vu (Tuongthuy.Vu at nottingham.edu.my  ) for building ideas for this. 

It might be good to have a initial meeting for building OSGeo:Malaysia chapter  at the end of AGSE2012 to bring together staff from universities, government organisations, industries in Malaysia who might be interested to establish the chapter there. Please send your ideas to the discuss list. Thanks.
