[OSGeo-Discuss] Announcing FOSS4G-ASIA 2014 (December)

On behalf of the organizing committee, it's my pleasure to announce the 
first ever FOSS4G-ASIA event, 2-5 December 2014, in Bangkok.

This is an international event, bringing together the FOSS4G family from 
all over the world.  It will also be a 'reunion' of sorts, many of us on 
the organizing committee attended the FOSS4G event in Bangkok in 2004; 
it was also there at that event in 2004 where Venka, Markus, and myself 
spoke of joining the GRASS and MapServer community events into an 
international annual FOSS4G event.

Much credit for this FOSS4G-ASIA event goes to Venka, for his vision and 
leadership, and to Sarawut NINSAWAT and the local organizers for all the 
"boots on the ground" hard work.  Thanks to Nick for his great logo 
design (as Venka said to me this morning. "Tuk-tuk represents agility, 
cost effectiveness, customizable and open (from everywhere)").  I 
believe also thanks is due to Hayashi-san for setting up the website 
template. (an international team indeed!)
