[OSGeo-Discuss] Population statistics in GIS Softwares

Dear Parv,

I am quite sure, that QGIS is the most suitable software for your kind
of work. Presumably there is no function in ArcGIS, that has no
equivalent in QGIS - if you check out the "Vector" menu you get the
"Geoprocessing Tools" with buffer and many other functions. (May be it's
hidden in an extension, I am not really a QGIS expert) or check out the
other tons of extensions.

I'd sugeest, that the better place for your questions around QGIS is the
QGIS user list, check out the QGIS website for the registration link.
