Has anyone played with packaging things up for the VMWare Player?  Could be an easy way (at least approach -- perhaps find OS equivalent to VM)  to have things that would work multiple OS's.  The VMWare Player stuff that I've played with has been pretty slick.

if necessary. A little tweaking (version change etc.) of RPM spec files allows updated OSGeo software to be packaged on the users machine. This way, we think that our CD would useful to a user as well as developers (who use mandriva 2006).
