<DIV>Hello,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The Mid Atlantic Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (MAC URISA) is holding a GIS conference in Atlantic City on Oct. 4, 5 & 6 (see <A href="http://www.macurisa.org">www.macurisa.org</A>). I thought it might be nice to have some OSGeo presence at the conference, whether through paper presentations or interactive expo sessions, etc. I have been following developments with the open source GIS stack for awhile, but don't feel qualified to speak on the various initiatives. Therefore, I would like to request participation from OSGeo members who may be nearby and willing to contribute to the conference agenda.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The MAC URISA GIS conference is held every other year and the commercial GIS vendors are well represented, but we have never had much related to open source. It would be really nice to start to change that. As far as I know there are still paper sessions available and interactive expo slots open. There are also sponsorship options, of course, but that is entirely optional and probably not in the budget.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>If there is interest, please feel free to comment or contact me off the list for further details. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks,</DIV>
