The Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) has been instrumental in bringing together the various open source geospatial communities and help sustain this growth. As part of this project we aim to look into the linkages between various open source GIS projects, communities, developers, users etc with the aim to better understand the open source geospatial ecosystem. We will collect data such as maillist, svn commits, issue tracker etc for doing the analysis and building the model.
