Indeed my first response is to be careful that in their enthusiasm a new volunteer does not take on too much and burn out. Based on my experience I feared setting up a conference was going to qualify as too much.</div><div><br></div><div>I had hoped we would be welcoming, and concerned for his welfare when faced with such a large task. There were some questions about what was going on, who LocationTech was, and so forth.</div><div><br></div><div>Our strength at OSGeo is being a people powered organization.
