We are proud to make a humble contribution to the Open Principles in Science and Education. If you understand Spanish or can translate this post you'll understand what I'm talking about: https://gvsigbatovi.wordpress.com/2017/12/21/ganadores-del-concurso-proyectos-de-trabajo-con-estudiantes-y-gvsig-batovi-reconocidos-en-la-tercera-edicion-de-los-premios-inspira/.
Proprietary GIS vendors will find it almost impossible to undermine this Open Principles at least in Uruguay because its roots are growing strong thanks to a lot of wonderful professionals, professors, students, some of them appear in this post. And we will
love to share our experience with anyone who asks for it.

Happy and Open 2018,
May I request everyone if they find any attempts to undermine Open Principles in GeoEducation either directly or indirectly anywhere in the world (using sponsorship etc) to please email the organisations as I did . Having only one proprietary GIS product

In my humble opinion, Science is not any specific GIS tools! (proprietary or open source). Any proprietary GIS vendors doing sales/marketing of any proprietary GIS products as “The Science” is either just joking : -) or misleading customers! Geographic
Information Science is not “owned “by any proprietary GIS vendor owner!
