Dear all (sent to a bcc list),

While this is not directly geospatial related, some of our friends
involved in the open knowledge/access movement in the UK (hi Jo!)
would be interested in the following --

Please save the British Library
<http://www.macworld.co.uk/blogs/index.cfm?entryid=103&blogid=1>
Tessa throws good money after very bad
<http://www.telegraph.co.uk/opinion/main.jhtml?xml=/opinion/2007/03/19/do1904.xml>

On a tangential but related note, I was thinking, libraries have given
out all kinds of data -- I get movies, music, even paintings, besides
the usual magazines, books, and papers -- but they could serve as
outlets for spatial data and geospatial education packages as well.
