Suitably qualified South African companies or individuals in developing
learning material and GIS are requested to provide a proposal and a quotation
on the development of a manual or workbook in support of the GIS In Schools
programme.<br>

GIS has become part of the geography schools curricula for grades 10 -12 as
indicated in the National Curriculum Statement. Additional information on

Please note that the manual / workbook would need to target:<br>
1. teachers<br>
2. learners<br>

An open source software package will be used (currently we have been providing
training on QGIS). <br>

Copyright of all work done would either be to the State or under Creative
Commons.<br>
<br>
Communication will be with shortlisted companies or individuals and would be
required to provide a demonstration or make a presentation at their expense.<br>
