Hello Charlie,

You were pretty clear about the timing. I've must made a mistake - I'm sorry.

At work I don't have access to IRC protocols, but I can help you a little.

IRC Clients automatically log all conversation. I'm not sure if the osgeo channel has a bot that takes care of that, but if it doesn't the only to log the whole talk is to sit at the room from the start to the end of the meeting. On a IRC client, everything goes to a log folder. On web IRC clients, I'm not sure, but I guess a simple copy+paste would solve it after the meeting is done.
Did I make an error? Did everyone see that on Doodle it was meant to be 12:00 noon TOMORROW (Friday) UTC, which, as I understand it is 8:00 am Eastern US. Are my calculations correct? Apologies -- I'm not used to doing this kind of international time zone coordination!

I'm not very experienced with this. George, could you do this for us or explain to me how to do this? Also, a question: To send a message to #osgeo via Http://webchat.freenode.net -- is there a command that must be entered? I'll be logged in in about an hour to test if anyone else wants to join me.

Thanks all-
Charlie & others,

Has the final time for this meeting been settled

Based on the Doodle poll results, our IRC meeting will be at 12:00
noon UTC on Friday July 30, 2010.
We'll talk for about 1 hour and I'll try to guide us through the
agenda and keep us on point. Please check for your local time at [1]

and has anyone clarified what IRC channel and node were are
going to be using?

Arnulf suggested we use the #osgeo channel on irc.freenode.net

<http://irc.freenode.net>, in part because it should log our

conversation. I use IRC only very infrequently -- so could someone
who is more experienced send out some instructions on logging in
to this channel?

I used http://webchat.freenode.net/ via my browser and it appears
to work although I am not sure the message I sent to others logged
in was received. I plan to log in today at 9:30 am Eastern US
time (cschweik) and it would be great if someone else will too so
we can test in advance of our meeting tomorrow.

Talk to some of you tomorrow! Thanks all.
