imageio-ext 1.0.8 and gdal 1.7.3 is impossible
imageio-ext 1.0.8 and gdal 1.4.5 may be
backporting should not ne out business
but
imageio-ext 1.1 and gdal 1.7.3 works
- fully on FC12/EL6
- except gdalgeotiff on EL5
