Is gdal being build with threads support?
If not, this would explain varying behaviour in imageio-ext tests.
It is true that in gdal.spec there is a line
--with-threads \
but for what I'm reading in configure, this line should read
--with-threads=yes \
instead in order to activate thread support.
Does anybody else see it the same way?
