Thanks for the information!

We need to decide if we want to use the geos from EPEL or keep the one
from ELGIS (it had some additional features around PHP I think).
Thoughts?

Meanwhile adding:

exclude=geos*

to the /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo file works around the update issue.
