EL6 is not yet supported in ELGIS.
I have setup yesterday my local build environment on CentOS 6 and I
will start working on it soon.
Don't hesitate to tell what are your priorities in terms of packages.
At this stage I plan to start with GDAL and PostGIS.

TIFF's as Peter asked, 8 bit vs 12 bit to try to see the

<p>I'd like to see spatialite and it's GUI also...</p>
<p>PostGIS I think is less critical (very easy to install on its
own). But from the error I got, it looked as tho' there is a
PostGIS package for EL6 on the elgis repo that wants "Postgresql84".
So I thought that it was a leftover from the question regarding
packaging Postgres as postgresql84 or just postgresql.</p>
