I would guess it is left over when  it supported and than not supported in favour of XE :).

I can correct that. ( Allthough It seems that Oracle workspaces are licensed to use with XE too they are just not installed by default )

So KingOracle is correctly reporting that it does not support locking. Why does it report that it supports the lock types?

If I remember correctly that is question of Oracle Workspaces.
King.Oracle doesn't support Workspaces.

Hi,
I am writing a chapter on FDO Capabilities for the Developers Guide.
When my C# program gets the Connection Capabilities for KingOracle, it detects that KingOracle does not support locking, but does support all of the  OSGeo.FDO.Commands.Locking.LockType types.
So the question is "Does KingOracle support locking?"
