[fdo-internals] Re: FDO 3.7 Builds and VIsual Studio 2010

I am now considering the option of keeping the unmanaged C++ API bits compiling with vc9 and moving the managed API components (wrapper classes) to build with vc10. The reason I would consider staying with vc9 on the unmanaged side is due to the fact that not all of the 3rdparty sdk's we need for provider development are available in vc10 form.

If we are planning to move the Fdo builds to the community then building with Express Edition would be more cost effective. It also reduces the barrier to entry for Fdo developers. Not everyone has Visual Studio or MSDN subscriptions.

Trevor

As long as either:

a) The source is buildable with the Express Edition --OR--
b) The SDK that is built is usable with the Express Edition

I am fine with the move.
