[Featureserver] Featureserver and FWTools

Hello,
FWTools is the easiest way to get MapServer and openEV running without
a complex installation. Sort of  "labs on a stick" ;-)).
FWTools installs OGR, python and bindings, so it would be very
convenient to run featureserver using the FWTools installation on
Linux and Windows.
Could someone provide some info about how to let featureserver 'see'
the proper dependencies?
