[Featureserver] can WFS work with version 1.0.0?

I've hooked up a MapServer WFS layer to FeatureServer, but when querying it
I get the error that MapServer does not support version 1.1.0.
Apparently, featureServer is forcing the version=1.1.0 tag to the wfs
request.
Does anyone know if there is any way to make it ask for version 1.0.0?
