Thanks Jonah for offering to present. Does anyone else want to challenge
Jonah for the honour? Greg? Adam? Alex?

I was planning to use the slide deck I used at foss4g (which can now be
extended from 5 to 12 mins)

*Title: Learning the Open Source Geospatial toolkit in five minutes*

*

Abstract:

Last November there was a four day conference dedicated to free and open
source software held in Melbourne. It attracted over 200 people, twice
as many as expected. Organisations are adopting these technologies,
people are being trained in it and job advertisements request these skills.

Want to learn what the all the buzz is about? This presentation
summarises the key open geospatial technologies in a five minute
elevator pitch.

Presenter

Cameron Shorter

By day, Cameron is a Software, Information and Geospatial Business
Analyst. By night he helps build open source communities, mainly in the
geospatial domain. Over the last couple of decades he has contributed to
numerous open source projects, some of which he started. He’s
contributed to the Open Source Geospatial (OSGeo) foundation board, to
OSGeo committees, has co-authored many strategies and processes, and is
one of the coordinators of OSGeoLive.
