[Foss4g2009] PCO Selection wrap-up

In wrapping up the PCO Selection:

- Cameron released a Press Release yesterday, advising that Tour Hosts
had been selected as PCO for FOSS4G-2009.

- All PCOs were verbally thanked for their efforts and notified of the
status of their bid prior to yesterday's Press Release going out.

- I have verbally advised Marie-Claire from the Sydney Convention and
Visitor's Bureau of the outcome of the bid and outlined our reasons for
selecting Tour Hosts. I do not intend following this up in writing.

-  I thanked Marie-Claire on behalf of OSGeo for her organisation's
efforts in helping us put the bid together, the tender process and
organising interviews. 

   Is there something else that we can do here to acknowledge this
invaluable help?



- We no longer require the letter of assignment to Tour Hosts. Cameron
has spoken with Tour Hosts and sent a confirmation email.




Thanks to everyone involved in reviewing the tenders and assisting with
the evaluation.


It is always difficult to single people out at the risk of offending
someone who has been of help, however in particular, thank you to:

- Dave Patton for the written feedback during the evaluation. This was
invaluable during the preparation of interview questions.

- Cameron Shorter and Shoaib Burq for the many hours spent during tender
evaluation and interviews (including preparation and follow up work).


One task down, many to come...
