We will be creating what we hope is our final release candidate on
Monday 9 August.
I hope to have the final version ~ Wednesday, but from experience, I'm
aware that we often have one or two last issues. A safe date is to
consider having the image ready by 16 August.

Not quite. As we switch media, we tend to uncover lots of extra errors.
Eg: We are finding a some issues switching from Vitual Machine to LiveDVD.
The USB has a smaller image size which may trigger errors.

If we are to create a USB version, I'm expecting we would have to delay
our release date by 1 week, and we would need to find ~ 3 full days of
volunteers time to step up to run all the tests again from the USB + ~ 2
days of rebuilding the images. (Are you able to find volunteers to
provide such extra time?) Alternatively, you could pay someone to do
such testing. (I could put LISAsoft testers onto it in work time if they
were paid).
